Custom Roll Formed Profiles

MMC Roll Forming specializes in high-volume custom projects that require fast turnaround, high quality, and repeatability. We have over 14 roll mills in our U.S.-based facility, giving us the ability to make up to 21 passes to achieve highly complex profiles, including C-channels, V-channels, hat channels, box channels, support 3D roll forming, and hold tight tolerances up to +/- 0.010”.

We currently do not accept orders requiring less than 10,000 linear feet of material, and we do not provide ring rolling, thread rolling, or tube/pipe rolling. If you have a high-volume project in mind, contact us today to schedule a project analysis.

Capabilities

MMC can produce any complex profile, including profiles with variable sections. We support our clients in the early stages with design assistance and tooling development. We have pre-built tooling for most of our complex shapes that we can offer at no additional cost.

During the production stage, we can offer value-added pre-piercing, cutoff, notching, offline assembly and fabrication, and coatings based on application requirements and to ensure easy installation into existing assemblies.

After production, MMC can provide warehousing to support JIT shipments, and logistics solutions to ensure on-time delivery.

Available Shapes C, H, J, L, U, V, Z, Box, Hat
MMC can also produce profiles with variable sections.

Why MMC

  • High-Volume Capabilities: It’s not easy to find a partner that can handle recurring, high-volume projects. MMC is set up as a high-volume facility that can process up to 300 feet of material per minute.
  • Cost-Efficient: Roll forming is an incredibly cost-effective process for high-volume projects because its repeatability reduces price per part. Tooling is the biggest upfront investment, and MMC helps customers save money by offering a library of pre-existing tooling.
  • Versatility: We’re capable of producing any roll-formed profile from a variety of materials, even UHSS grades (depending on springback) that don’t work in traditional press braking. We also specialize in variable-section forming and can hold extremely tight tolerances due to our ability to perform up to 21 passes.
  • Precision: Parts are produced to near-net shape, especially compared to stamping, making them easy to integrate into existing assemblies.
  • In-line Integration: We offer punching, notching, embossing, sweeping/curving, and cut-to-length throughout the process; some of this can happen in a single pass, depending on profile complexity.
  • Fast Support: MMC never outsources work. We perform every aspect of planning and production in-house in the United States. Being a domestic partner also allows us to provide quick quotes and responsive support during your project.
