Coated Metal Roll Forming Benefits

  • Improved Aesthetics: Our available pre-coated metals come in many colors and finishes, so no post-forming painting or finishing is required.
  • Enhanced Corrosion Resistance: The coating will provide extra protection against moisture and chemical exposure.
  • More Efficient: By working with pre-coated metals, we reduce handling requirements and turnaround time.
  • No Damage: Our state-of-the-art equipment can successfully form coated metals without damaging the coating.
  • Versatility: MMC offers different coating options, including galvanized and anodized.
  • Consistent: Roll forming is a highly repeatable process, making it ideal for high-volume orders exceeding 10,000 linear feet.

Capabilities

By investing in 14 roll mills, MMC can create virtually any lineal profile and hold tight tolerances (from +/- 0.030” to +/- 0.010”) on profile dimensions. We also specialize in constant sweep and provide in-house pre-piercing, cutoff and notching, and offline fabrication and assembly.

Our materials can be pre-painted or embossed on one or both sides, and we offer galvanized (G30 to G360) and specialty anodized coatings for added protection.

Our maximum input strip width for all metal materials is 14”. Our minimum and maximum thicknesses vary based on the type of metal we’re roll forming. See the chart for more details.

Material Thickness
Aluminum 0.10"-0.200"
Mild Steel 0.10"-0.187"
High-Strength Steel 0.10"-0.118"
Martensitic Steel 0.10"-0.118"

Industries We’ve Served

MMC Roll Form proudly provides coated metal roll forming services to clients in many industries, including solar, automotive, material handling, and appliance.

Solar

MMC helps create the structural framework for solar panel systems. We manufacture lightweight profiles from galvanized and anodized steel to increase corrosion resistance and durability.

Automotive

Coated steel provides good corrosion resistance paired with high-strength, ensuring automotive components, including bumper beams and chassis rails, can withstand impacts while resisting rust, road salt, and moisture.

Material Handling

Coated metal can be roll-formed into channels and tracks in conveyor systems to provide better abrasion resistance. We also commonly roll form anodized or galvanized metal into uprights, beams, and bracing that are color-coded for inventory management.

Appliance

Roll forming is used to create easy-to-install door liners, shelving supports, trim pieces, external panels, and more in appliances. When formed from coated metal, the components can resist moisture and temperature extremes better.

Customers

Our valued customers span a wide range of industries, including automotive and solar, all of whom rely on our precision and expertise to meet their unique aluminum roll forming needs.
