Copper Alloy Roll Forming Benefits

  • Corrosion Resistance: When rolled, copper forms a protective patina that makes the final product naturally resistant to harsh environments.
  • Electrical Conduction: Copper offers superior performance for applications that require heat dissipation or electrical conduction.
  • Consistent Quality: Roll forming is one of the best methods for high-volume production because it consistently produces uniform cross-sections with tight tolerances.
  • Aesthetically Unique: When roll formed, copper can be used to create beautiful, intricate profiles with no surface blemishes.

Capabilities

MMC has invested in 14 roll mills, which gives us the unique ability to make up to 21 passes to produce highly complex profiles (between 0.10”-0.187” in thickness) from copper and copper alloys and hold tolerances up to /- 0.010”.

As a turnkey manufacturer, we provide our customers with additional value-added services, including logistics and delivery, pre-piercing, cutoff, notching, and offline fabrication and assembly. We’ve also curated a library of pre-made tooling; if there is tooling that matches your project and design requirements, we’ll use it at no additional cost to you.

Why Choose MMC?

  • Time-Saving: MMC has been producing roll-formed products for several decades. Our years of experience have allowed us to build an extensive library of pre-made tooling. If possible, we’ll use existing tooling from our library to reduce lead time.
  • Cost-Effective: The price of copper isn’t insignificant—MMC helps companies reduce overhead costs through our ability to hold extremely tight tolerances, produce little scrap, and use pre-existing tooling when possible.
  • Value-Added Services: Every stage of roll forming is performed in our U.S.-based facility, and we offer several value-added capabilities in-house, including pre-piercing, cutoff, notching, and logistics. We know how challenging it can be to work with multiple partners.
  • Responsive Support: MMC is committed to providing same-day quotes to our domestic partners and ongoing support throughout your project.
  • Expertise: When you contact MMC, you’ll always be speaking with an expert. If you need help refining your design before production, we’re happy to schedule a consultation.
  • On-Time Delivery: Reshoring to MMC will save you time and stress. We can handle and fulfill high-volume orders and meet strict deadlines for our domestic partners.
